Director Nitesh Tiwari brings to life the inspiring story of Haryana wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita. This film is about the innate strength of women – both in the akhada and outside it. 4/5full review

If you are a sports lover, this is the best film for you. Aamir Khan and his girls are there to make you forget the place where you are and you will cheer them up during the wrestling competition scenes. In total, Dangal is a pride of every father, who loves his girls and treats them equal to him. 4.5/5full review

On the whole, DANGAL is a masterpiece. A terrific film that stays in your heart and remains etched in your memory much after the screening has concluded. A brilliant film that restores your faith in Hindi cinema. Actually, it won’t be erroneous to state that DANGAL is the finest film to come out of the Hindi film industry in a long, long time and mark my words, it will be remembered as a classic in times to come. It blends drama, emotions, sportsmanship and patriotism extraordinarily… the icing 4.5/5full review

Music of the film is not given much of a prominence; however the title song, crooned by Daler Mehndi does give you goose bumps, much like his earlier renditions. The cinematic value, photography is superior. Yes the film has its flaws. It feels a little bit of a drag and falls flat at certain moments, but we are happy to ignore them, not because their hasn't been a good film in a while and certainly not because of Aamir Khan, but for what the team brings forth is totally worth it. Go for it.4/5full review

Aamir Khan brings the same earnestness to 'Dangal' as he does to even potboilers like 'Dhoom 3' or 'Ghajini. Your eyes hardly ever waver from the screen for 160 minutes flat, while you mildly laugh, go teary eyed, and on occasion even bite your nails, thoroughly enthralled4/5full review

Dangal movie review: Aamir Khan and four lovely youngsters knock it out of the park. In a world that continues to consider ambition a dirty word for women in particular, the clarity in Dangal is remarkable and inspiring.3/5full review

Aamir Khan, his Phogat girls show how blood, sweat, tears make champions. If Aamir Khan hadn't green-lit it, Dangal would never have been made. Aamir imbues the film with a sincerity of purpose that makes it so much more than a starry vehicle.3/5full review

The biggest issue with filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari's film is that it plays safe, in sharp contrast to its sport and gender-empowering subjects2.5/5full review
